Your MGTD-TF has different systems electrical systems such as the ignition, interior lighting, headlamps, etc. The car battery and dynamo provide these different components of the electrical system with electricity. As soon as your engine is running the dynamo will start recharging the battery to ensure optimal voltage.

If your dynamo is broken, it won’t charge your car battery anymore. Either way, check the belt connecting the dynamo to the engine or replace your dynamo. Sometimes it is possible to restore a dynamo to original condition without having to replace the part.
