Your Jaguar MKII, Jaguar 240-340, Daimler V8 has different systems electrical systems such as the ignition, interior lighting, headlamps, etc. The car battery and dynamo provide these different components of the electrical system with electricity. As soon as your engine is running the dynamo will start recharging the battery to ensure optimal voltage.
