Rear light assemblies

Car lights such as rear lights are one of the most important parts of your MG Midget. Driving your MG Midget without tail lights is not only inconvenient but also dangerous. The lights of the car, both front lights and rear lights, are a rather vulnerable part of your MG Midget.

Signs of a defect in the rear lights:
-The lights must be replaced regularly
-There is condensation inside the bulb
-Some bulbs are partially or completely broken
-The light flickers or turns on slowly
-The light from the lamp is weak

Causes of rear light failure:
High risk of mechanical damage due to e.g. parking errors, errors by other road users, stones and other objects. The wiring is an often problematic part of the rear lights due to, among other things, the installation of low quality parts, bad connections, varying voltage in the electrical circuit, damage to insulation, humidity or dirt.

Replace the rear light:
-Remove the negative connection from the battery
-Loosening of clips and removal of cover in the rear tray
-Disconnect clamps, disconnect wiring and replace where necessary
-Removing the screws of the lights
-Removing the lights
-Installing the new parts by following the above steps in reverse order
